hello everyone! so as you know, i love me some fictional works, especially the ones with great world building that is so detailed that they would have their own food in the fictional world that they set in that when you see the food, you're kinda wondering like how good of a food it is, but you know that you can't get it in real world or at least it won't taste as good as the food that's seen in the movie/tv show/described in the books, in fact that's the case with the food and drink that i'm gonna be mentioning here. the idea to rank fictional food came to me from watching Watcher's Top 5 Breakdown for fictional food on youtube, and i'm gonna do my own version of it. So let's start with number 5!
5. Willy Wonka's Chocolate River
i've always loved me some chocolate, especially milk chocolate. and i know that i can get an actual real life chocolate bar in the nearest supermarkets and then melt it on my own, but willy wonka's chocolate has always been so appealing to me, like the way that the camera in the movie shot the chocolate in the scene in which augustus(?), the first kid that got drown in the chocolate river, the way that they shot the chocolate river? it looks so appetizing, like i get why the boy wanted to drown himself in chocolate and get a taste of the chocolate river. hell, i would get as much as i could of the river.
4. Butterbeer
ah yes, the sweets, as the white witch said, that caused edmund pevensie's character development. i always wonder how turkish delight tastes as a child, is it that good that edmund decided to betray his siblings in order just to get more turkish delight? if i have it in real life, i'll probably just be like, "eh, it's okay,", but then again i'm very grateful that i don't live in a time of world war that made eating candy would be such a luxury, so i don't think i'll ever understand edmund's motive here, but i'm just curious, because the looks of the food, is really good, and edmund was eating it like how a food vlogger would review food, so, curious, just curious. there's an honorable mention though, the hot chocolate. i actually wanted to drink that hot chocolate so much because it just looks so tasty, warm, and it's served in a very beautiful goblet (i can't find the picture of the goblet or the hot chocolate, but just know that the goblet is so pretty). i live in a tropical country but i would love me some hot chocolate brewed by white witch herself.
that's it for this post. it's a little bit shorter, but it's a fun one. i'll see you on the next post!
