Hello, it's friday, and you know what it means, Fictional Crush Friday post! Today, we're gonna talk about the man, one of a kind, Prince Consort of Genovia, the man who made my boyfriend type is almost impossible, Michael Moscovitz.
I'm sorry for the lack of pictures in this post. Because I'm gonna talk about book Michael. Not that I hate movie Michael, he's such a cutie.
Right? A total cutie. But I just feel like they are two completely different people. And I just prefer book Michael.
I'm gonna separate this in two parts, which are Pre Japan Michael and Post Japan Michael.
I read about him for the first time in the second book of Princess Diaries series, simply because my sister doesn't have the first book. He's Mia (the main character, icydk)'s best friend's brother, and ofc, Mia can't help but just had a huge crush on him, and so do I.
He always seemed like he didn't really care about Mia before they were dating. Well, he did, but it was only on a brother-sister level. Especally when he saw Mia kept falling on the ice skate rink (i think. I know i should've done a research first). He said that it was the time that Michael realized that he had a crush on her. Not when she was all dressed up like a princess in a ball gown. But it was probably one of her worst appearance of all time, yet he just said that, "I think she looked cute there.". He's not all about that "pretty in a dress" kind of guy. He loves someone for who they are, that's a keeper right there.
Then fast forward to Book 7, which probably has my favorite ending in the series. So it went down like this, Mia did a play, and at the end of the play she had to kiss the main guy. Mia worried that if she kisses this guy, it would ruin their relationship. But of course, our boy Michael, had something up his sleeves. He showed up on stage, wearing the main guy's costume and he said, "How can I just stay there and do nothing while my girlfriend is being kissed by another guy?", and I was just like,

(Right after that moment, my standard in men went up by 100 times higher)
But ofc, in the next book, Mia had to overreact about the fact that Michael was not a virgin which I thought that was quite made sense, since it's Michael we're talking about. But, no. Mia was overly jealous then went on kissing another guy while Michael was watching. My poor baby. I want to give him a hug. Then Michael went to Japan, accepting the job offer, still brokenhearted over the fact that they broke up.
I think I'm gonna end it right there for the Pre Japan Michael. Post Japan Michael is just, a whole other personality type that we haven't really seen for almost the whole series. I like Post Japan Michael more, btw. And next you'll see why!
